Monetary DayCare Gifts-How much are you giving?
DS has a few teachers and I think they range in different levels. i want to get something for each of them.
What amount of $$$ is sufficient? I dont remember what I gave last year.
TIA!!!
also-I am thinking of getting the two directors a gift basket of some sort--is that okay?

This is my first year so I have no experience but I plan on getting a gift basket for DD's day care. It's smaller day care than where you are and I've never even met some of the staff, so I'm not sure if I want to give $$ gifts individually because I don't even know WHO I'm giving to...
The owner told me most parents don't give anything but I don't feel comfortable with that.

Jen...I am doing the following:
Head Teachers (2) - $25 Amex card and Coach coin purse (all in all $50 for each)
All other teachers - $25 Amex Card
Director and Asst Director - Godiva cookies and cocoa with 2 gingerbread men plates.

We're doing $25 gift cards for the teachers and then food/treats for rest of staff.

Small in home day care- one person and her aide- they only have 4 kids right now due to layoffs
We also have to break it to her that Grace isn't coming back after Christmas- I am going on maternity leave so I am putting her in a pre-school two mornings a week instead to get more stimulation.
That being said
owner/provider- $50 gift card to Macy's
Assistant(only been there a couple of months- $25 gift card to Macy's

This sounds right...although I think last year I gave $100 to the head teacher but thats not in my funds this year

I think I am just giving all three teachers $20 cash and a hand creme from Bath & Body works, but we have only been there a few months.
BTW, JenBenMen, I was anxiously awaiting the head butting Santa photo on the other thread.....

Head teachers (2 of them) $50. Other teachers (2) $30. One woman who comes to feed Sophia as a lunch relief $20 (she has helped me improve Sophia's eating - long story). 2 Directors - Coach Key Chains.
