anyone with me??

Any of you ladies purchase something for the baby and open it up when you got home and hated it??? i've done alot of online shopping due to amazing prices but there are a few things we got at store....we bought the fisherprice aquarium for the boys cribs..and opened them up at home and hated them..i think it looks so cheesy and dorky lOL...i know its a baby toy but your talking about toys that will go on 2-5 hundred dollar cribs....coudlnt they make them al little more cute???

i have the same thought about the fisher price rainforest swing and bouncer. They look like they'll clash with my home's cherry transitional decor!

The colorful fabric is so loud! I know fisher price products have good reviews but boy, do they need some Italians designing these baby products!

Totally know what you mean about the aquarium too, I think we got one 'cus we heard such good reviews so we're gonna try it out anyway but keep the box just in case!

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me if a toy that is going to keep my child happy and content is cheesy looking or not. The baby is not going to care one way or other. I registered for the FP Aquarium because it got great reviews and I've seen how soothing it is to my nephews.

haha i was annal in the beginning of only buying muted colors..that went right out the window when Rob saw the shiny and bright colors from the rainforest products..i think the rainforest is at least better then the aquarium pattern was.....i've given in with that aspect so its not the colors i guess that bother me its that they just clash with our decor(as PP said).....we just moved in here...got all new furniture for every room and now every room has a splash of red bright blue and green LOL..stylish!!! yes they should do a line of baby stuff desgined by like michael kors....todd oldham or one of his top design friends!!!! i'd pay the extra....!! i am sure whe the bright obnoxious swing calms 2 screaming little newborns i will LOVE IT!

personally - i LOVE the FP aquarium - i even just recommended it to a close friend who bought it for her niece. Another close friend had it for her daughter and she wouldn't fall asleep without it.

Awww thanks Chat Icon ...I am a NYS in-home daycare provider ( on a very extended maternity leave) hence my big " playroom" downstairs Chat Icon ...But even with all that room, the toys find a way to make it in every room upstairs Chat Icon

ETA; Just realized I put 1700' ( its actually 1400' ( either way, my house is a toy disaster - LOL)
