Please reccomend your carpet shampooer/steamvac

I was looking on Amazon.com for them and the prices are pretty good... but the reviews are so confusing.

I was going to get the Bissell 2080. The living room area rug is very dirty because of the dog and I also want one to do the other wall to wall carpets in the bedrooms here and there.

Which one do you have? Pros/Cons? THANKS!!

I've had a Hoover SteamVac for several years now. I love it. Works great, relatively cheap, and easy to use.

Out of 701 reviews, 648 were either 4 or 5 stars. You will never find a product with that many positive reviews. That's over a 92% rating of Very Good or Excellent!

If you stood on a corner and just handed out $20 bills, you would STILL get people who complained about it.

Once complaint was about the "steam" in "steam cleaning".... there is no "steam", just very hot water (there is some steam that comes out of the tank when I fill it up.... )

I've had mine for about 10 years or so. I use it fairly often, and never had issue.
