Re: Itchiness is out of CONTROL!!!

I had this unexplained itchiness during my last two pregnancies. It was torture! The only things that provided even the most temporary relief were showers and Sarna lotion. That, and giving birth...the itchies were gone immediately!

Re: Itchiness is out of CONTROL!!!

I had little red bumps on my stomach that I thought were Pupps. I got Sarna and they went away. I still get itchy and usually take a bath and rub on some lotion immediately after and it goes away.

Re: Itchiness is out of CONTROL!!!

Thanks girls! I have called the doc because of course i had to read the internet and my what to expect when expecting book and it mentioned something about cholestatsis. I mentioned it to the NP and she doesnt want me to be tested for this at this point. Im a little concerned that they are just brushing this off. Im gonna go to high risk doctor this week and mention it to them.

If it makes you feel better, I was tested for cholestasis in both previous pregnancies and came back negative for it. I literally had your exact same symptoms.

I had cholestasis and the itching was worse at night and concentrated on the soles of my feet and the palms of your hands - I would insist that they test you as cholestasis is dangerous. Good luckChat Icon

Re: Itchiness is out of CONTROL!!!

I find the Palmer's tummy butter really helped the itchiness. It's so thick and moisturizes real well.

It also smells yummy too... DH thinks I'm baking vanilla cookies when I lather it on. :D
