What age for a ring bearer? Did you have one? How old was yours?
I didn't have one.
I think Christopher is too young. He will be 2.5 at the time of the wedding...

Mine was 4 but my brother was a ring bearer at 3 and I was a flower girl at 2.
I think the bride just needs to realize sometimes kids have a mind of their own. I told myself that the 4 yeear old might not walk down the aisle. He did but refused to put his bowtie on. Also, he only walked into the catering hall for introduction because the maitre de promised him ice cream waiting at his seat - and it was

I had one. He was 6 & was absolutely fine. I had 4 & 2 year old flower girls.
Joseph was a ring bearer when he was not quite 2 years, 2 months. He went down the aisle, no problems. The flower girl (a little older than he was) refused to go down the aisle.
Things I did to make it work.
The church during his regularly scheduled nap. I rearranged his nap schedule by waking him up earlier than usual & napping him earlier so he'd be ready to go. The flower girls mom thought it was over the top when I told her at the rehearsal dinner.
DH & I were in the bridal party. We went down first. Joseph stayed in the foyer with my dad. When it was time to march, I peeked my head out & held my arms out. I think as long as the bride to be is prepared that it may or may not work, you'll be fine. One of the best moments I remember at a stuffy wedding is seeing the ring bearer run in the opposite direction than he was supposed to go. It broke the tension & everyone was smiling when he was carried down the aisle by his dad.
My parents were there during the bridal party photos. They drove him & Maddie in car seats, so it worked out that we could go with the rest of the bridal party.

I forgot to add that my ringbearer's mother was in the bridal party so she went down the aisle first which I think helped.

Ours were 2 1/2 and 4 1/2
DS is a ring bearer in a few months at 18 months
