When did you do your layette?
I know it should be done close to when the baby is born, since the clothes should be seasonal. Just wondering what the best time frame is.

I am due the first of week of January. My shower is on the first week of December. I plan to do it after the shower. I want to see what friends and family get me before I head out.

I'm due right around the same time as you and I am doing my layette next weekend (Nov. 15th). When I asked the people at Denny's when I should do it for my due date, they said November would be good b/c if it gets to be any later, they might not have a lot of winter stuff left because they'll start bringing spring clothing in.

Whenever I saw something cute, I picked it up. My sister in law gave me a bunch of unused stuff from her DD and at my shower, I also got a lot of onesies, sleepers, gowns etc. I think I am covered, though it is not a formal "layette."

I picked things up over the last few months. I didn't go to the store at one time and pick everything out. Which maybe is smarter because the amount of clothes I have is insane
