When should you install your carseat??
Is there a specific timeline for this??
I guess I'm getting antsy and want to get things done..

I'm 37 weeks and we know the baby is close to arrival (I'm 2cm and 100% effaced with consistent painless contractions!) but since its my second and my husband is a pro at installing the carseat now, I haven't even thought about it yet...I guess he should install it soon...last time we did it at 38 weeks

HA, DH keeps talking about this and we're still 7-8 weeks from due date.
but probably when we're about 36 weeks.

For you, I'd install it now. You are close enough. I'm assuming you'd just be installing the base for the infant carrier anyway, and not the full carseat. And if you want it inspected, it's better to do it early. As many of us found out, it's nearly impossible to find someone trained to look at it and inspect it.

I'm pretty sure I did mine around 34 weeks.
ETA: I went to the State Trooper Barracks in Farmingdale to have it properly installed and for them to teach me how to do it properly for future seats.

I think I should have done it already, but haven't. I'm hoping to do it on Monday. I'll be just about 37 weeks.

DH did it just before we left for the hospital (although we didn't know I was going to be induced), I was 38 weeks, 6 days.
But my DH is an EMT for the city and is trained to install them.
