Did anyone have their shower BEFORE their nursery was finished?

My nursery isn't even started yet. We bought the paint, but still have to use it, move all of the furniture out, set up the crib, changer etc...

This weekend is my shower and I honestly don't think we're even going to get to paint until Tuesday at the earliest.

If this situation is similar to yours, what did you do with all of the baby stuff after the shower?

We live in a 2 bedroom, so it's not like we have a house or anything...

We just closed on a house on Friday and probably won't be moving in until the end of November/early December. I had a shower a few weeks ago. Everything (except the carseat and base) is being stored at my parents' house until the baby is born. My parents will be bringing up the things I'll need right away. They're visiting several times within the first few weeks and will bring baby stuff with them each time. Also, our furniture isn't being delivered until after the baby arrives. I'm not worried about not having the nursery set up. The baby won't know the difference.

Yeah...because of our "kittens living in the nursery" situation, both of our showers will be had before the nursery is even started.
