Obnoxious Quote of the Day
So all along I've gotten comments like "You're so big, sure you're not having twins?" You know, gems like that! I'm 23 weeks and due in March. Today's comment from a co-worker?
Her: "Oh...you must be due soon!"
Me: "No...Why, do I look that big?"
Her: "No, no...What do you have, 2 months left?"
Me: "Again, no."

 I cannot stand it anymore with these people. What a joke!
Today I got:
Her: "Wow...big belly"
me: "well..that's what usually happens"
Her: "what are u having?"
me: "A boy!"
Her: "oh..are u upset?"
me: "why should i be?"
are these people kidding me?
yes..I'm very upset that I've been blessed to be carrying a healthy baby boy. I mean seriously?

I had someone say something that INFURIATED me a couple weeks ago...but of course, it wasn't TO me.
I have a couple of very close friends (all guys...it's a predominantly male company) and this one jerk that works here says to one of my friends:
"i saw Whitney in the cafeteria today, and she's HUGE! she should really lay off the food because she's going to look awful after she pops that kid out"
meanwhile - this guy is a good 60 lbs overweight. I flipped out on him later on after i found out and said that
A) you have zero right to comment on how i look, pregnant or not
B) i have only gained 20 lbs and i'm having a boy, so i'm carrying all in front - women get BIGGER when they grow CHILDREN. I can't stay a size 4 and create a human being. It's just not the way it works.
C) I'm not huge
so of course after i confronted him he totally denied saying anything about "huge", but just that i looked "uncomfortable". Really? Well then why dont you ask me how i'm feeling then a-hole, instead of assuming b/c i feel FABULOUS. not uncomfortable in the least bit.
I have issues with the very opinionated middle aged jerks i work with to begin with because when i wasn't pregnant, they were staring at my boobs, now i have to deal with comments about how "huge" i got. I'm not huge. I happen to think i'm carrying very well. Sorry for the short vent - but stupid comments just make me so
