Are the MacLarens good for strolling?

Re: MacLaren Question

IMO - nope.

with DD#1 i took longs strolls in our neighborhood and got annoyed with the maclaren real quick. it's great for quick trips to the store, and so convenient to keep in the trunk of the car, but for walks i invested in a jogger - what a difference!

if i lived in the city i wouldn't buy the jogger i have now because it's way too bulky. i would have to do some research, but would definitely get something more sidewalk and bump friendly.

Re: MacLaren Question

The Maclaren Techno/Ryders are because they have suspension. I have a Quest and it's OK for walking. I loved my Techno much better for that but I changed it for a Quest because the Quest is lighter. If you are going to do a lot of walking you may want to invest in a Bugaboo or Bugaboo type stroller.

Re: MacLaren Question

We registered for the Quest as our umbrella travel stroller. It was recommended to me by a few friends-- all city moms. But, we are also getting the Bugaboo.

Re: MacLaren Question

I have a Maclaren Techno Classic and I think its fantastic, I live in an area like Queens and I think that its great, it handles really well.

However, in the city, I would probably invest in something like a Bugaboo for just the sheer dependability of it, Maclarens are a but punier than the Bugs.

Re: MacLaren Question

I hated my Maclaren and actually sold it on craigslist. I now have a Peg Perego and love it.
