Please take a look and help if you can
A friend of ours is suffering with a worsening debiliating illness that is as of yet completely undiagnosable (sp?). Her husband created a website in order to reach out to see if there is a dr or scientist or anyone in the medical field or not who might have any ideas or leads for where else to turn to get her treated. Thank you for taking the time to look at it. Any help is appreciated.Please help brandelyn

i recently read i think in good housekeeping that there is a medical center devoted to undiagnosed medical mysteries. you submit your info and then they choose something like 25 a year to work on. if they dont choose you they try to give some guidance. i will try to find the article to find the name of the place.
etd to add that i read her mde history and it seems like they already tried this center and were rejected.

OMG what a horrible story. I'm a scientist, but not the right sort to answer possible gynecological or endocrine questions...
All I can suggest is for them to keep going to different institutions (I prefer teaching hospitals becuase they are up on the most recent research, and the faculty are the best-read in their fields) and seeing different gynocologists and endocrinologists. Also, I know Dr. Davenport in setuaket (three village women's health) is rated by her peers to be one of the best gynecologists in NYS.... (she is my OB). She also once did scientific research. Maybe she could either help or refer your friend to other super-educated physicians?
In these instances, it's important to persevere and keep visiting different experts... one of them will have a brain-storm which may lead to a solution.....

To me the thing that stuck out is the no access to the left ovary. There is an ob/gyn who specializes in infection-I wonder if that could be her issue-his name is Dr Atilla Toth-this is something he might take on. GL to your friend
