Gift for Mom-to-Be
Hi Ladies,
My best friend just told me that she is expecting her first baby and I'm so excited for her and wanted to put together a gift to congratulate her. Nothing extravagant, more like a fun bag of goodies (preggo pops, belly bars, etc) for her to get started on this exciting time in her life.
Is there anything that you could recommend that maybe someone gave you or that you have that you loved?

AWESOME AWESOME book!!! My MIL got it for us when we got pregnant. They have real pictures of the baby from the moment of conception to brith!! Great book to read with DH and see what baby looks like at each moment from the day of conception.
I will TREASURE this book!

def, the baby bargains book!
umm, how about bella bands? they are elastic bands that allow you to wear your pre-pregnancy pants.. it's great for the newly growing belly, where you can still fit into your pants yet cant button them yet too small for maternity pants....
i would def, get her at least one band! they about $25 each.. they come in different colors...
or how about stretch mark lotion kit?

no one got me anything-- but I think I would have liked some magazines and some of the funnier books like Jenny McCarthy's book, and I think there is another one.

I got a baby book that you keep notes in during pregnancy as well as after. It's called Baby Chronicles- one of my favorite gifts!

ITA with this, the belly butter..preggo pops/bars..... Girlfriend's guide to Pregnancy is a great book too.
Also the Baby Bargains book is very helpful.
