I don't really care. I just like it down when I am in the shower or drying my hair with the blow dryer.

I have the opposite problem. My husband not only puts the seat down, he CLOSES the LID. So one night- I get up and stumble to the bathroom half asleep to tinkle. I didn't bother to turn the light on and in my half out of it state and the darkness, I plopped myself down and ended up sitting right on the cover. I was like W T F? Thank God I realized it before I started to pee!
OMG, DH does the same things and it drives me insane!!!

Doesn't really bother me... but we put the seat and cover down all the time because we have some crazy cats.
When they were kittens one kind of fell in, and the other walked in circles around the rim for a little while so we just keep it closed to keep the cats out.

Re: toilet bowl seat: Does it bother you when....
Drives me crazy! When I was growing up, the seat was always left down but the lid was up. Then when I moved in with DH I picked up his habit of closing the lid as well (go figure he's more neurotic about it then me!) so now we always keep the whole lid down and I hate when any part of the toilet, the lid or seat is left up...
I think I also always have it in the back of my head that when you flush, germs fly out of the toilet bowl all over the bathroom, so I feel like I'm keeping my bathroom cleaner if the toilet is all closed up... I have problems!

My dh puts it down all the time. If a guest left it up I really wouldn't mind i always tell people make yourself at home so maybe that is what they do at home.
