thank you so much for thinking of me....this brought tears to my eyes...seriously.
I go on Wednesday morning - likely at 7:00 AM. (we can be there any time after 6:00 AM)
I keep telling myself that I didn't like the doc who did the u/s and i am pregnant, he's just a weenis who couldn't see what he should've.

I keep telling myself that I didn't like the doc who did the u/s and i am pregnant, he's just a weenis who couldn't see what he should've.
At my appointment at 5.5 weeks, they could only see a sac. The tech told me the fetal pole would show up anyday and that within a week or so, there should be a heartbeat. I ended up having had ovulated a few days later than I had calculated. They didn't even want to have an ultrasound until 8 weeks to make sure there would be a pole and heartbeat by then.
I don't understand why they would scare you. It sounds like they probably saw the same image they saw on mine.

Oh and Jess, I forgot to mention that he seems to be the ONLY Dr. there that never turns the screen so you can see. I saw your post where you said you didn't see the screen. That's the other give away to me to which Dr. you saw on Sunday.
You're right.. he is a weenis!

I had a similar situation in my first pregnancy. I went for a sono at 6 weeks, but it turns out I was probably more like 5. At first the tech started looking & said to me "Umm... who even told you that you're pregnant?! I don't see anything."  Once I convinced him that a doctor had confirmed it & I wasn't making it up he kept searching & found a sac & what he thought *might* be something starting, but he really couldn't tell. My doctor wasn't concerned with those results at all since I was so early on. I had another sono around 8 weeks because I had some spotting & we saw the heart beating away.
There is definately hope, Jess!

Well- Ill be thinking about you Wed morning!!! Please update us as soon as you can.
My SIL had the same thing happen at about 5.5 weeks. One day makes a HUGE difference this early on.
They had her come back in a week, and she got to see a heart beat!!!!
Have you had your levels checked again???

they're checking my levels again on Wednesday morning as well..
my last HCG count went from 4,581 to 19,844 and my Progesterone rose from 20 to 23.8...
the thing that gets me is that i'm supposed to be 6 weeks and change...
(eta: i know that number can be wrong....)

Jess, the "age" the sono machine spits out is an estimation give or take a few days. We asked one of the RE's this during one of our sono's because I knew exactly how far along I was due to having gone through IVF, and the sono measured the baby to be 4 days behind what I knew I was. Hang in there!

I'm tryin' - i promise!!! It's very hard when your entire life you have expected the negative only to be surprised by the positive (less painful that way, especially with my horrendous luck)....this time i need to try to be positive...and it's hard.

Jess--you and I are pretty much in the same exact boat right now so believe me when I tell you, I know what you're going through and I know how hard it is to stay positive. I'm hoping and praying for the best for both of us. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

Keep in mind, even if you do know when you ovulated, implantation can take up to 10 days!!!! That would throw your whole EDD off by over a week.
