Should I spend the money or just get cheap ones?
So I have been gathering the pieces of Sabrina's Halloween costume and I need black boots. Part of me is thinking of just getting cheapy boots that aren't even a size "wide" and just getting a bigger size since she will only wear them for this occasion and maybe a few other times.
The other part of me is thinking of getting her good Stride Rite boots in her correct size so she can wear them whenever she wants.

I have the same issue.... I need black shoes for DD's costume too. I think I am just going to go to Payless or Target and get a cheap pair of black mary jane type shoes. Right now, she is growing so fast, that I don't think it is worth it to buy a pair of shoes that she will wear once or twice before growing out of it.
If you think you'll actually get use out of the boots thats a different story, but for one or two wearings, I'm all for the cheap ones!
BTW, Payless carries wide widths for little girls!

I don't know I too am having the same issue. I need/want saddle shoes for her 50's girl costume. I will have to swing by Payless and then make my decision.

I would get the cheap ones unless you plan to dress her in black boots a lot.
FYI for those looking, Kmart carries wide and I actually just got a pair of black mary janes there (they have several styles) for $6.99. I too needed saddle shoes, but these will suffice.

I was just in Payless and didnt see saddle shoes. Not sure how big yoru girl is. I have DD dressing as a 50s chic too so I just bought her cheesy knock off keds from payless for 3 dollars
