Did any of you take the removable padding out to give DC more room while seated? just curious to know if its ok to do so.

I didn't have the seat, but is it just a headrest or do you mean all the padding?

Re: Chicco KeyFit 30 padding??
There is removable padding where the baby sits and has her back leaning on it. I'm not sure if its ok to take out and have her sit in it w/o the padding. I read somewhere its only for newborns or up to 11lbs.
or maybe just the headrest? and leave the part where she's sitting?

I took the bottom padding out right away. The head padding, I put back in because DS head would fall down when he fell asleep. I moved it up higher though. DS is now over 18 lbs (4 months).

Re: Chicco KeyFit 30 padding??
We only used the padding thing for a couple of weeks. DD was almost 8 pounds at birth and with the weather getting warmer as well, we thought it was best to take it out.
