SO I thought when you're pregnant
I thought when you're pregnant people are nicer to you and move out of your way....I just went food shopping and it was a mad house......three people almost bumped right into me and my belly. They didn't even slow down.....didn't they see me waddling by ha ha ha ha

People tend to be all about themselves for the most part around these parts.

Re: SO I thought when you're pregnant
A guy at the post office yesterday raced me to the door so he could get in line in front of me and then proceeded to drop said door on me. Azzhole. I think he was pretending not to see me... meanwhile I'm nearly 8 months preggo and as big as a house.

wow..well not pregnant (yet) but I was in a wheelchair the other day with a busted foot.
People were extra nice to me!
I guess that's different from being pregnant? You should have consideration regardless.

Re: SO I thought when you're pregnant
When we were in San Francisco and were on the train, not one person offered their seat to me and at the stop we were getting off some guy almost pushed me over. DH saw him pushing his way through and was just about to push me and he turned around and snapped at the guy telling him not to push me.

Re: SO I thought when you're pregnant
I did my LAST food shopping trip today.
In the butcher shop I grew-up in (they knew my family before I was even born!) everyone was obviously very nice and carried my bags...
At fairway (super busy becuase of the upcoming holiday), people were cutting me off with their shopping carts as I tried to waddle to the bathroom. come now, I'm 40 weeks preggo! Stop staring at my fluffy ankles and don't cram your f-in cart right in front of me at the last second.
I was at least lucky that they bagged my groceries

Re: SO I thought when you're pregnant
Last night as I was leaving a party at a restaurant a man was in front of me. He let not one, but TWO doors close right in my face-- not even attempting to hold them a little for me. Which, prego or not-- is common courtesy.
He was A- At the party so he knew he "knew" me, and B- Someone at the party made an announcement that I was pregnant-- so, after that-- everyone's eyes were on me.
So he knowingly did not hold the door for a pregnant acquaintance.
