Teething at 4 1/2 months?

My son is drooling alot, rubbing things on his gums and now he has developed the sniffles.

I heard that sometimes teething symptoms resemble a cold.

Is it possible that my son is teething at 4 1/2 months?

All 3 of mine had 2 teeth by 4 1/2 months old. My second baby cut 2 teeth a few days after she turned 3 months old.

Todd Jr is drooling like crazy and if he could eat his hand he would--lol He bites on all of his toys like a mad man, he's 4 1/2 months also, but his Dr said she doesn't see any teeth coming in soon....Chat Icon

That's also developmentally appropriate behaviors for that age. It might not be teething at all.
My doctor told me the only way to know if the baby is teething is when you see a little white thing poking out of their gums. Chat Icon

Totally possible. DS got his first two together at 4.5 months and now at 10 months, he has 7, with #8 and #9 coming in soon.

My son starting teething at 2 months old. Chat Icon Chat Icon (drooling nonstop to the point that he soaks his whole shirt, has hands constantly in the mouth and all of a sudden loves the pacifier).

He is now almost 3 months old and is still teething. Unfortunately it's affecting his napping during the day... Chat Icon

if he's got the same big old teeth as his mommy, it's going to be a rough road getting those babies in! Chat Icon
