She's suddenly spitting up a lot
is 3 weeks old tomorrow. She spit up a tiny bit maybe 3 times since she's been born. Then today she's been spitting up all day long. We have a dr appt tomorrow at 4. Think she's okay? She has been BFing and drinking the same formula since the hospital.

Re: She's suddenly spitting up a lot
How much is a lot? Like a whole belly full? Is she in pain like arching her back while feeding or crying? If not, I'd try burping her more often. If she is doing those things I mentioned, let the dr. know because they can be signs of acid reflux. but all babies spit up, especially if they need to burp.

Kristina had that same problem, and the doctor wound up telling me that it was acid reflux.
As opposed to giving her medicine.... he switched her from the Enfamil Lipil that she was originally taking to the Enfamil Gentlease, and had me put rice cereal into her bottles.....
Wow...
What a difference!

Re: She's suddenly spitting up a lot
DS would constantly spit up and arch his back, so we knew he had reflux. For all his feedings, I mixed BM with rice cereal in bottles to thicken his feeds. So far it's worked out well and we didn't have to put DS on Zantac.
