then please shut your mouth 
i got my hair dyed back to my original color, dark brown, on friday night. a girl i work with told me not to dye my hair dark because she likes it lighter, i had it light brown with a lot of highlights this summer. it is a lot to maintain. i go into work today and she says to me
"OMG, you look horrible! i told you not to make your hair darker, i hate it" i told her i'm not trying to impress her and walked away. another girl in my ofifce said the she definately does not like my hair either. what is wrong with people????? i would never say that to someone, even if they did look horrible  meanwhile, so many people are telling me they love it, especially DH 
ETA: i get so self concious sometimes, so these type of statements don't help

Wow, that's really ballsy. I wouldn't mind if my friends gave me their honest opinion. But not people I work with or who are just acquaintances.

I did the same thing...I dyed my hair back to my dark hair color and I couldn't believe all the rude comments.
Sorry, they made you feel uncomfortable. They were out of line.

I agree with this!
But you are completely right; where do people get off saying such horrible things. It is one thing to maybe politely say how you feel, but to say you look horrible is so rude!!! Don't listen to them. If you love it, rock it then!

Ignore them. All that should matter is that YOU love it.
I went darker last week too. The blonde was just too much to maintain. So far everyone has loved it except my mom 
She said I like you better with lighter hair, and yet my natural hair color is medium brown (which is what it is now after last week's single process) that gets lighter in summer.
Honestly though I think its just because its a drastic change going from light to dark and people just aren't used to it.
Again though as long as YOU are happy thats all that matters. Post a pic

ITA. Plus, while they are blowing their $$$ away on hair treatments, you will be socking $$$$$ away.

I went back to my dark color also. My cut and color went from $140 to $65. I'm sure your hair look beautiful. It's shocking that such dumb comments come out of people's mouths.
