Anyone work in the Times Square area?
Honestly.. if you don't bring your lunch everyday, what do you get?! I am so sick of EVERYTHING! It's the same stuff everywhere you go and I'm just so sick of it ALL!

I do! and I am with you! I just walked to 9th for some subway. I am SO SICK of the Europa Cafe. Especially since I got pregnant and don't really want salads anymore.

Europa grosses me out too! I just went to Dukes on 41st and got one of those melts.. but that does nothing for me either!

There's an amish supermarket that makes great sandwiches, and I used to hit up the Belly Deli all the time for their salad bar or sandwiches.

Everything in midtown is gross - I agree! (besides Cosi of course)....I bring my lunch because nothing ever satisfies me if I buy it.....nothing is tasty to me at all!

Re: Anyone work in the Times Square area?
I used to work in Times Square until I got laid off. I was never crazy about Duke's or Cafe Europa. I worked right across the street from them Believe it or not, I used to go to the Deli in my building a lot. Sunrise Deli. It's on 7th Avenue in between 40th and 41st. I also used to go to Sha La deli on Broadway between 40th and 41st. At Sha La, the food is good, the bagels are awseome. Just be careful, one of the owners, the old man especially never charges the same price for anything. You can go in today and pay $5 for something and tomorrow it could be $6 or $4. What aboout Simply Pasta, it's a restaurant that you can also get takeout from. They aren't too bad. They are on 41st I think, in bewteen B'Way and 6th ave. If I can think of anymore I'll let you know.

You could always walk to the Soupman (or Soup Nazi if you like Seinfeld). I always loved the fruit. Every soup I've had was fantastic.

Is the soup nazi still at that location? Cuz they just opened a location by my job on 42nd st. and 5th ave. I heard the location on 8th and 55th closed down. Their soups are good but too expensive.

I work right over there - at the new location the lines are out the door everyday!

The real guy doesn't go by the name the Soup Nazi. It's Soup Kitchen International. Here's the website: http://www.soupkitchenintl.com/default.htm
