is it me or are pants just made way too long these days
ok I am short I am 5ft3
but I tried on at least 15 pairs of pants this weekend and they are soooo long I dont remember them being this way on me in the past
The only jeans that fit nice was the size 8 short at Old Navy

#2 I feel jeans are made way too short lol. I like to buy long but usually stores only have one length

I'm really short (4'11) and a size 2 and everything is too long on me. I just mentally add 20 bucks to what ever pants I buy for hemming.

I'm 5'6" and find the opposite. The regulars (I thought 5'6" was avg) are too short, and the longs too long.

I'm 5'4" and a 6 or 8 and I find that pants are long, but perfect for wearing with a 2.5-3" heel, which is what I like! Jeans however are often too long for even that for me!

I am 5' 4 and have to get everything hemmed. I wish they made women's pants in different lengths like they do mens. Just b/c I wear size 12 pants does not mean I am 5'10.

Me too!! LOL
I'm 5 9 that is why.
Back in the day the problem was that all pants were too short for the tall gals like us- now they are making them in lengths (Thank GOD!) or longer in general because you can always hem a pant if it's too long- but you can't do much when it's too short other than wait for the flood!

Im 5'2, about a 6 now and always long for me, unless its states, Average or petitie.
I also found that when I was heavier, they bigger size I got, the longer they got. 
It was like NO im short and fat!

I'm 5'9 as well. I'll admit that the pants I'm wearing today had to be hemmed, but after the first wash they were too short. Now they're too big because I lost some weight but they fit in the length again.
Regular length pants NEVER fit me in the length and long lengths are always too long. I just need half an inch, not 4 inches!

It's definitely difficult because anytime I need pants or a work suit with pants I have to make sure I buy it from a store that carries long lengths and not all of them do.
I can't really ever buy anything in Macy's etc...
It's a lot easier to have pants hemmed than to find pants that fit my long azz legs! LOL

I'm 5'3 and I feel like jeans are so long lately too! I wear depending on the jeans a 0 or a 2 and I can't stand how hard it is to find a normal length. I used to buy the regulars and they were fine. and I find the shorts and to short on me since I wear heels a lot, the short length is only good for me to wear with flats or sneakers which is rare.

Yup, I find a lot of stuff too long for me.
But my problem is that I have short legs, not that I am short. I have a long waist and short legs so I can't wear petite because the rise is too short....

Seriously! I have seen it, but it's rare,and there is not much of a range. It should be standard--women come in mor ethan jsut 3 different heights!
I feel for the tlal girls too, bc/ you can't jsut add extra fabric to the ends. One of my taller friends woldn't ever dry her jeans for fear they would shrink & be too short.

I always have issues
petite pants are too short for me
unless they are 29 inseam, some places are 28
short works for me (30 inch) like BR- with a heel
Express short pants work with flats for me
and I am 5'2
unless I need to wear it the next day, I don't like the lenght determine my purchase- if they fit perfect everywhere else- I buy them

Me too. I'm also a size 14 or 16, & 14P is too small in the butt & 16P is hard to find.
I usually look for "short", which is hard to find & sometimes to long anyway, but workable with boots/heels.

I seriously think women's pants should be sized like men's- based on waist AND inseam.
Because like eveyone said- just because you are a size 10 in the waist doesn't mean you are 5 9 and just because you are a size 4 doesn't mean you are 5 3
I never understood why men can buy waist size and inseam independently but we can't....
