Re: Winthrop v. LIJ
I wouldn't know since I haven't given birth yet, but my doctor is with LIJ. A lot of people also rave about this hospital and say we will be in great hands when the time comes.
Also, I found that if you plan your prenatal sonos at LIJ on a Friday in the early afternoon, you will get in and out in a jiffy (I think due to the observant Jewish thing).

Re: Winthrop v. LIJ
I just had my daughter at LIJ. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Having Schneider Children's Hospital's NICU there was a saving grace in more ways than one. Also, because I had a challenging delivery, the nurse manager on duty in recovery got me into a private room immediately with no questions asked and no extra fees. I call her my LDR angel.
I have no experience with Winthrop so I cannot fairly comment or compare one to another. But I assure you that I am glad I made the choice I did.

Re: Winthrop v. LIJ
I had my daughter at Winthrop I will never have a baby there I was very high risk as far as normal pregnacy I would say Winthrop. If you have a high risk pregnancy LIJ. They have a great NICU. MY daughter was at winthrop for a 129 transfer her to schneider children hospitial she came home in a month in a half after her transfer they have better technology for sick preemies I was 29 weeks and 5 days when I deliver. I had a short cervix at 22 weeks was admit to winthrop at 27 weeks had got a staph infection and had preclampsia. Winthrop transfer her to cornell in the city at 3 weeks to have heart surgery they didn't have a ped heart surgery. This is something to think about alot women don't have complication and I thought I was going to be on of those women. Make should your dr can handle high risk pregnancy my dr did not he refer me to madonna I didn't like them. Love my dr so if I decided to have anymore children these are the things I am looking for.
