mine were not knowing i was in labor
pooping
being in pain-the epi not working
being cut/tearing
AFTER THE FACT: my epi was so good-my right leg was completely dead--i could not even roll myself over on my side!!!
did not poop---not that i would have known. to combat this, eat things that will go thru your system fast ie:protein. the reason u can't eat after the epi is b/c EVERYTHING from the waist down is numb--digestion is pretty much stopped and u could get sick.
i did tear but very minimally--2nd degree i think. the dr said it was such a clean tear that it was as if she cut me. the pain afterwards was not unbearable---it stung to pee for a day or 2--thr squirt bottle is great! i did pass out on my first trip to the restroom with the nurse but that was from lack of food or loss of blood--it has happened to me before. walking too much aggravated the area but just made me sore--no biggie. oh and i ended up with a tiny hemmerhoid that they did not even give me medicine for...the ice packs made it go away.
if anyone wants more details, feel free to fm me. And you really do throw modesty to the wind....i was so afraid of everyone looking at me....BAH. no biggie.

Mine are:
Number one: Something going wrong with the baby
Not getting to the hospital in time for medication
the pain
I am not scared of the puking or the pooping, I am very scared of pain and needles and being so overcome with fear that I lose control

I never realized until I started reading this board that you poop while giving labor. It never occured to me. That is def going to be a fear of mine!

my biggest fear came true when i had my daughter ..I was home alone and she came so qucikly i had to deliever her myself, at home , alone, no drugs!!

Mine too! I did it sans the drugs, sans DH, but CAN'T imagine doing it alone!
