Would this bother you?
On my way home last night, as I was waiting for the subway I see a mom withher son & daughter, both toddlers on the subway platform. The mom was busy with the little boy and had her back turned to the little girl, anyway this guy about 40 ish walks by and he touches the little girls head, kind of a caress. I’m not sure why but I didn’t like it, but I can’t quite put my finger on why it bothered me. I just don’t think strangers should feel like they could touch a child would he have done that to another adult.
Do you think this is weird??

Yes I would think it was strange. Not enough to throw him off the platform, but the thought of doing it would cross my mind.

I think it's very creepy - unless you know a child, you shouldn't be touching them!

My parents are huge kid lovers. My dad would talk to little kids in the grocery store and he was in his 30's/40's. Then realized 1 day that a mom looked at him funny. He realized that in this day and age, you can be seen as a creep. I know my dad and he was just genuine about just liking kids. But he also understood after the look of that woman that day than he was just not smart to do anymore.
The man could have just been nice to the little girl but nowadays you just never know.
I know I would hold all kids but remind myself that they are not mine and people would see me as a creep.

Someone did that to Alex in the mall the other day. Alex wasn't looking at where she was going (in fact, she was walking backwards  ), and almost walked into a man. He lightly touched her head in the same way, and smiled. My first instinct was   , but my instincts told me it was a totally innocent gesture.
