That's funny - I JUST posted about that. I thought it was in Port Jeff though! Chat Icon

That would explain why I couldn't find any information on it.

Have you ever been to the one in Calverton?

Re: Anyone going to the Irish Festival ....

No, this is a first for me. Growing up we always went to the feis's in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Westchester. We also went to the Coney Island one and there used to be one in Queens back in the day. This one seems good--they have good bands scheduled.

Google LI Irish Festival on Google and their site will come up.

It is ooing to be sooo hot though.... i will sunburn in about 5 minutes! Chat Icon

I was thinking about going. I drove by and it looks soooo small to warrant a $20 entrance fee. Let me know if it's good! Chat Icon

we bought in advance on line so they were cheaper. Also, they are having some BIG names in the Irish music scene, hence the large cover.

Re: Anyone going to the Irish Festival ....

I totally would love to but we have plans ALL weekend.

I miss the Prodigals, but they're not the same as they used to be. They'd be the main reason I'd go.

Oh well...next one I guess.

Definitely big name bands. So worth the $20 cover.

Or...according to the website tomorrow you can donate blood, get in free & get a free pint... Oh... I'd be Chat Icon in no time.Chat Icon

I can't speak for Ireland, but in England it has been raining for the last 3 weeks...every day, raining, pretty much all day. And the high temps are only like 55 - 60 degrees. When I come home to NY I can't believe how you guys can live with the heat!! And I usually come home in SEPTEMBER!!!
