Here is Ed-lie's nursery as it stands RIGHT AT THIS VERY MOMENT with 6 (possibly 5) weeks to go!

Unpainted and unspackled glory:

Now before you all drop from utter disbelief, I assure you that the primer and paint will be done expeditiously.

And as Montel Jordan says:
"This is how we do it!"

looks good so far...I am only starting ealry cause DH is on vacation when he goes back to work next week nothing will be touched for a while he works 5-6 days a week and about 12-14 hours a day cause I am not working right now...and he's too exhausted to do anything when he gets home and besides the doc told me that I will probably go early...

Ed-lie's nursery wont be done until weeks after she is born. Once the paint is done, we will simply wait til she is home before the furniture is delivered. She wont know the difference.

I would love to have it complete, its just not a custom of ours so we sorta wing it. Its weird because we technically HAVE everything, buts its scattered all over LI and Queens!

Hey, at least she'll have a nursery! All Ava had when she was born was a corner of our room!

The fact that the room is empty is an accomplishment in and of itself.

Your pics made me giggle...thanks for the laugh.

I was so uptight when it came to DD #1's nursery...it's so sad how it's so different with this pregnancy. I'm due in 10 days and I just finished painting. I still have to put the border up, put the bedding on, the curtains,etc...

I guess I just realized (as you have already done) that the baby won't know and won't even be in there for the first couple of months!!

Now if I showed you pics of what a disaster area my bedroom is that the baby IS going to see, you would die!!

Girl..Dont be worried about the room being done. When I brought my DS home I was still working on his room. When it getd done it gets done.

I'm with you, and I'm beyond anal to begin with, so I'm already getting my dad to start painting the second we find out what we're having...that will give me some solace that one thing is done....I'm a control freak and can't take this....

Oh Ed-lie will be in her room immediately. It just won't be complete. My furniture is in and it only takes a day or two notice for delivery and assembly of all the pieces. We will call the store as soon as I go into the hospital and arrange for someone to be there if I am still in the hospital. Otherwise, it's a pack n play. Stuff like wall letters and accessories and cute things just won't be in place. Right now, my sister is making window valences from the extra fabric we got when we ordered our bedding.
