did anyone get an ultasound at the 1st visit?
the girl on the phone said they will give me one, with my DS they just talked and gave me paperwork. I dont want to make DH take off from work if they arent goign to do one.

they did a ultrasound at my 1st apt. I was 7 weeks.

they did one at my first visit too. No heartbeat at that one (5+ weeks), just the sac. I had to go back 2 weeks later to see the heartbeat.

i think i will be near end of my 7th week, i really dont know when this happend, so i really hope they do one to give me an EDD.

I had one at my 2nd visit. My first visit, I was spotting and only about 5 weeks along. My doc says he likes to wait until about 7 weeks b/c it may get ladies upset if nothing shows up but it just may too early. 7 weeks is a good time for the 1st sono. Congratulations!!

i had one ( 5 weeks 5 days) but only because i had a sharp pain near my ovary and she wanted to rule out etopic. my first official sono was scheduled for 8 weeks. but if you are going to be at the end of your 7th week (which i assume means you'll be almost 8 weeks) then that sounds normal to me.

I had one the first visit at 6.5 weeks, but they weren't going to until my second visit. They did one because when he palpated my stomach area it was tender and he wanted to make sure I wasn't having a ectopic PG.

i did - it was transvaginal and just a blurry uterus but the dr. said he was able to see the thickening of the endometrium lining
ETA - I was about 10 days pregnant at the time

I did and was able to see the heart flicker. I wasn't sure how far along I was though which may have been the reason she did it.
