Fireworks at Bald Hill....

....anyone else going?

We go to the lawn at the Town Hall and watch the fireworks from up on the hill.

We have a nice time and the view is great...tons of people.

If you go...whatever you do..DO NOT park at the town hall. It will take you HOURS to get out of there...we park a little farther away and we get right out. We just have to walk a bit.

Anyone????

Re: Fireworks at Bald Hill....

DH will actually be working there (we both work for the Town) he is hoping his people can organize the traffic flow a little better this year. We can actually see the fireworks from my parents house in Patchogue so that is where Hailey & I will be. Hope you have a good time!!

I didn't even know they had fireworks at Bald Hill. Wish I had, maybe then we wouldn't be headed to a BBQ in this crummy weather.

Nope, they have a concert or something that starts then. FYI North Ocean Ave is closed from 6-10, so if you are going, get there early.

YEP...the fireworks arent until after dark..Bald Hill has some concert before. Ive never gone to the concert...

Summer, I think it's closed from a certain point on right? Usually you can get up to Granny Rd where I make a right any way to get to the town hall. But then you cant go any further. Or should I take 112 instead?

Re: Fireworks at Bald Hill....

Is there anyplace to park where we would have a view from somewhere very close to the car? I have the husband on crutches, still and he is totally overdoing it now that he got a good report from the doctor.

I dont know..now with the rain Im thinking of going and parking some where. I think maybe if I park at Kmart you can still see the fireworks.

We went!!!!! Not the turn out that there usually is but we enjoyed it!!! We've basically turned it into a family tradition so we had to go.

Re: Fireworks at Bald Hill....

We went -- tailgated -- and when we were going to go in for the concert, it started to rain more heavily. So we left. My mom is 80 and DD is just a year so it didn't seem to be the best scenario, KWIM? I wish it hadn't rained...we were all looking forward to it.
