Good beaches to take toddlers to
I want to go to the beach with Emily soon.
I will most likely be taking her alone, and I'm nervous about bringing so much stuff, parking far from the beach, etc.
Can anyone make recommendations?
Preferably a place not too crowded on weekdays.
Parking not too far.
Nassau County.

Long Beach during the week is not bad at all.
You wn't have to walk too far.
Or you can do Point Lookout, which is right off the parkway.

We went to Lido West yesterday. It was pretty crowded but Logan had a blast!!

point look out (straight when you get off the loop) is really nice and not a far walk at all.

I used to love going to Point Look out - the parking lot is really close to the beach.

thanks girls! we actually ended up going to Jones Beach which isn't what I was thinking at all but I  don't really know where the other beaches in nassau county are. i was always a suffolk girl.
anyway we had a great time! it turned out that one of my students from brooklyn that I had 4 years ago was there with her whole family so Emily had lots of playmates!
Thanks for your suggestions everyone. I am going to look into other beaches for next time!!!

Tobay (the bay side)
and there is one in Massapequa right on the bay that is small and I am totally drawing a blank right now.......
