House Survey
Has anyone ever gotten a new survey done? Who did you use? If you dont mind me asking, how much does it usually run?

Re: House Survey
The price of a survey will vary greatly depending on the size of your lot, the availability of existing monumentation and the engineering/survey outfit you go with.
We are Upstate and our survey was about $1,500 for a .79 acre lot. If your home is in a new subdivision ('80s or later) you could probably get a better deal by contacting the company that did the subdivsion; they will most likely have final lot surveys for every lot and would only need to update and re-certify the survey.
Also, going with a smaller company will reduce costs because they have lower overhead and are more likely to be interested in taking on smaller jobs. Larger companies may not need the work and may give you a higher price because of that.

Re: House Survey
We had a survey done. But I can't answer any of your questions Our attorney took care of it all. I'm sure the price will be added into our closing costs.
