Alex wasn't so cute this morning
I hear the pitter patter of feet running down my hallway at 6am. Turn around and there Alex is, standing next to my side of the bed, looking at her hands, saying, mommy I have to wash my hands.
At first I was groggy. I told her to go wash her hands then. She whined, noooo mommy you have to help me. I just ignored her.
Then DH piped in, Alex, WHY do you have to wash your hands? Lighbulb goes off in my head - ruh-roh, WHY IS SHE asking to wash her hands?
Alex looks down sheepishly and mutters something to herself. I sit up, look a little closely at her hands. And. OMG. YUCK.
I'll just say this - Alex made a little poopy in her diaper this morning (she still wears diapers at night). I'll leave the rest of the story to all of your imaginations.
And my only question is - why, if DH has morning duty, and I have afternoon duty, was it MY responsibility to deal with this aftermath this morning??? WHY????

Oh I am dreading this...we just started potty training here this morning and already I am dreading the first poop of the day.....yeuch...
Ah well think of the stories you can tell her when she is older even though she wont believe you

OH NO! And the reason you had to deal with it instead of DH is obvious: we're the superior sex, and therefore can handle the unexpected without a bat of the eyelashes. Duh Well, that, and DHs become suddenly immobile as soon as things turn ugly
