I Need The Cliff's Notes...
I read the article about the girl from Massapequa. I didn't read the other responses before I posted. I looked at other posts and I saw her myspace. Then I read a thread that said the community has a heroin problem. I feel like I'm missing a piece of the puzzle here. I thought the article said they were investigating it as a homicide.
Did I get it all? Can someone give me a condensed version? I feel lost. DH had the computer at work all day, so I haven't been on since this morning.
TIA

i read it all and still do not see any reasoning behind them investigating it as a homicide other than the fact that supposedly nobody realized she was unconscious on the couch, nor did anyone call 911 or anything. so i think the only reasoning behind it is that the story seems really fishy.

Re: I Need The Cliff's Notes...
On the news this morning the police said there is no evidence of foul play. The guy who was arrested was arrested because he was tampering with evidence by cleaning up the empties when police arrived. I think the big issue is that noone called police the night before and basically just let her die.

They are no longer calling it a homocide. I think it was just that a girl was found dead that they called it that right away.

Re: I Need The Cliff's Notes...
My brother is a cop and said that anytime a body is found like that it's investigated as a homicide until they can prove otherwise.
For example, a family friend passed away a few months back. She was a single woman in her 50's who lived alone. One of her siblings found her body in her bathroom. Even though it was pretty obvious it wasn't a homicide and she had underlying health issues, it was investigated as a homicide until the autopsy results came back (weeks later) showing it was indeed her health issue.
