Mine for both kids were of a fave pic of them from that day in a greeting card format and then it opened up and read thank you and then I wrote a personalized note.

My avatar was Lucas' thank you card. Inside I had a poem printed on the left:
That I was born into this circle
I am blessed
That I chose to stand in this circle
I am proud
It was my way of saying thank you to each and everyone of them because they came to the party regardless of the weather forecast and how much they all mean to us...and to have them in my son's life.
The other side had space for the personalized thank you and the bottom had With Love and our names pre-printed.

That is kinda what I wanted to do, but I was hoping to get a good picture in front of the cake but DS was very grumpy that day (go figure), and I thouhg that if I did it with a picutre of someother time of the day, most might not know it was form the party and think it was just a ramdom picture of him.
BTW where did you get yours form, and how long did it take to receive them??

I don't think that matters. So long as you choose a good pic of him, it'll be just fine. Besides, I'm sure you're going to have a message imprinted inside, along with your own thank you note, so people will know what it's about. 
I used notecards.com but have also used shutterfly.com and winkflash.com
Just do a google search for coupon codes.

Thank you!
Patken took the picture and we got them a few days later. I scanned the 8x10 and uploaded to Winkflash - where I ordered the notecards (got them in about a week).
Check out retailmenot.com for codes if you decide on Winkflash. I saved about 40%.
