IMHO you should never EVER assume anything..if DC name is not on the invite then I would not take him/her nor would I call to ask..

I would never assume Kerri was invited nor would I expect her to always be.

Re: Would you assume you could bring your DC to a baby shower?

yes, i would not give it a second thought and bring my baby. Especially to someone's home.

If Leo was home, I would not bring Josh so that I could have a nice day out solo...but if Leo was working, I would never think that Josh wasn't invited.

I would never just bring him to an adult b-day party or wedding...but shower, yes.

I wouldn't assume babies were invited.
I would definitely check first, even though it's a baby shower.

I agree, I have a baby shower in 2 weeks, and although I am pretty sure he would be welcomed I assume he isnt invited until otherwise told.

I wouldn't assume, but I have to say- if it's a baby shower- I think it's weird that kids aren't welcome.
I mean- I would assume the guest of honor likes children...

Chat Icon My thoughts exactly. Anyway, thanks all - like I wrote, DS is actually welcome to go so I'm bringing him.
