One more favor idea? Do you like it?
It's a kitchen timer. I guess I would do one per couple. But I think it's cute! Also cheaper than the mugs by $5
ETA: DH just got his PhD in Astronomy, so this fits the theme.

I like this idea the best. The mug was a cute idea, but he won't always be working on that project. The party is for him getting his phd, not his job, kwim?

Yes, I do know what you mean. Even if he goes into another field (which I think he will eventually), nothing will change the fact that he got his PhD in astronomy.

When I saw your original post, I was like, eh, no way. who wants a rocket shaped timer? But now that i see he gots his Ph.D. in astronomy... this is PERFECT!!!!!!!! very cute....
