Infant Seat and Heat
I have the Peg Perego infant seat (2004 model) and I am having the same problem w/ DS that I had w/ DD. Whenever I put him in it he gets so hot and sweaty that he can only stay in it for a short time. Does anyone else have this problem? I am willing to buy a new seat but I just wanted to know if they all do this or just the model I bought.
Can anyone recommend their seat and confirm that it does not make DC all hot and sweaty? I really don't want to put DS in a convertible seat at 7 weeks like I did w/ DD.
TIA!

Unfortunately I think they are all like that. Even now in the comfortable seat rear facing, I find that DD gets extremely hot. I just blast the A/C or put the window down so she gets a breeze.

I have a Graco but I have the same issue. I open the windows so DD gets some cool air on her.

My problem is no so much in the car but when I take him in and out. I was in a store the other day and he was bright red and I had to take him out of the seat, put him in the stroller and carry the seat. It was a PIA.

I wouldn't take him into the stores in the seat anymore then. Just use the stroller.

I agree...in these next few months you might want to consider transferring him to the stroller...I did with my son last summer and while it seems like a lot of work...it gets easy - plus you don't have to carry the carseat.

I agree. Take DC out of the carseat and put DC in a reclined position in the stroller.
