Kitchen Cabinets with a glaze
Does anyone have them? I love them but are they worth $$$

My aunt and uncle have them. They purchased them from home Depot and installed them , themselves. We love them and when we do our kitchen over (eventully) we are going to consider it.
I have white cabinets now and hate them. You see everything on them and the middle of each door has a panel that looks like bead board so it is so hard to clean.

I was looking at stained & glazed cabinets and they were 35% more.l That was for a few different places. I decided not to get them.

Yes, glazes are 
My FIL is a kitchen designer.
He currently has a client who HAD TO HAVE  (customer jumping up and down  ) a certain glaze... had to, had to, had to... it added 5K to the cost of her kitchen 
Granted, it's a fairly large kitchen but
They are so because they are appplied by hand.
Needless to say, I passed on the glaze when he designed my kitchen
If you want that "old world Tuscan" look a nice glaze really makes the cabinets looked "aged"

ours have a cocoa glaze- and my hubby "HAD to have it" it was a good compromise, since he wanted the true red cherry cabinets, and I wanted something a bit more brownish, so w/ the cocoa glaze on the cherry it gave us both what we wanted......but yes, he definitely added to the price!!! I think we overspent, but we really love our cabinets!

My MIL has a glaze on her cabinets.
It looks nice, but I opted not to add the glaze to ours because of the cost.
I only think it's worth it to get the glaze if your cabinets have an intricate / detailed design on them (like roping) to show off the glaze.

we chose a glaze for our cabinets - LOVE the look! I don't even remember how much more expensive it was but to us it was worth it. Everyone who comes over comments on how nice the glaze looks.

I have a glaze on my cabinets. Ours are antique white with a glaze over it - and we have like a brown accent in the creases.
