Do you ever just feel so overwhelmed
I feel like I just can't keep up with it all lately. The minute my house is clean, I turn around and it is a disaster again. As soon as I feel like I catch up on all the laundry, all of a sudden there's 3 more loads sitting in the closet. The kids all have practices and games and my husband doesn't get home until at least 7, I need to go to the grocery store, I need to go clothes shopping for the kids, all the beds need to be stripped right now, my closets and drawers need purging, there's homework to help with every night - it just never ends. Plus I 'm working part time right now. I'm just tired
Thanks for the vent.

How old are your kids? Maybe they can help a little stripping their beds, keeping their rooms and closets clean, etc.

your vent made me feel better since I feel like the "to-do" list is ONGOING
The thing that helps me is to say "Ok jen...calm down...one thing at a time...you will miss this chaos when you are old and bored"

My daughter (10) is somewhat helpful. My sons are another story. They can be helpful sometimes and the total opposite other times.
I am guilty of letting them depend on me too much - but I'm working on it.

Im right there with you!!!!!
Ive stopped doing for them as much and it's helped tremendously...
My eldest didnt get her laptop back for almost 2 weeks b/c she wouldnt get with the program...she finally did all that she was suppose to and she's been amazing ever since..

i have been overwhelmed sinc ethe moment I cane home with my baby TWO MONTHS AGO. And now that I am back at work full time, I feel awful. I was looking around the house last night and noticed what a mess it is. I just don't have the energy to keep up with it being I don't get home till 8:00 pm now. I need to set up a schedule or something - do one or two things each night. I don't know. I am not realy good at this.

i think every mom feels that way at one point in time. All i can say is do the best you can. If the laundry sits in the basket before you can put it away than so be it! If the dishes dont get put away just live out of the dishwasher!! You will find your rythym (and than the kids will mess it up! LOL) dont worry your DEFINATLY NOT ALONE!!!

you are totally not alone, its def hard maintaining your household and having children hang in there! and def ask for help from others if you need it. My mom will come over and watch DS for a couple hours so i can straighten up/run errands during the day. and my DH helps out with laundry, cooks dinner, etc. and sometimes i also will run out at 7 or 8 at night to run errands after we put the baby to bed (DH doesnt get home till like 6:30)

I totally feel your pain.
I told myself I am not allowing myself to sleep for the next 3 weeks so I can get some things done.
There's seriously not enough time in a day!

Definitely. DH doesn't get home till 7 or 7:30 either, sometimes later, so I'm alone with DS the whole day and early evening. Some days (like today) it's hard to get much done.
To a ceretain degree, I have to make peace with a house that isn't so clean and isn't decorated the way I would like either. I just don't have time eventhough I'm a SAHM. Getting there!

I've been feeling the same. I think it may be the end of the school year with all the year end craziness and activities. Unfortunately, the crazier it gets with the kids, the less I do for myself and the worse I feel. I just think its cyclical and I try to keep reminding myself of that.
