Dry-cleaning a fancy comforter

Have any of you ladies had a fancy comforter dry cleaned recently? If so, do you mind sharing how much you paid?

I have to get my comforter dry cleaned and I'm afraid it is going to cost me an eye off of my face.Chat Icon

TIA

Re: Dry-cleaning a fancy comforter

Sorry, every one that i ever had that way, i washed at the laundromat then hung dry at home. costs 5.50, and i have had my latest since my bridal shower in 2003.
(I switch mine around, however, due to change of seasons, want a different look, etc...)

Ours isn't very fancy, but we had it dry cleaned last year and it was about $30-40.

I have always paid in the 50 dollar area for my fancy, corded ones and i just recently paid around 35 for my plain down comforter...Its such a shame its so pricey...I always end up using my machine washable ones more often...

Re: Dry-cleaning a fancy comforter

i think it was around $50. thats when I decided to invest in a new one, seeing it was only $200, and my dog tends to go on my bed when I'm not home, so it needed to be cleaned way to often and at that price i was buying a new one every month, in dry cleaning bills alone.
