What kind of bottle do hospitals use?-BPA related
My mom swear up and down that all hospitals use glass bottles, but that was almost 30 years ago! Anyone know what kind of bottles they use nowadays? Are the bottles reused? Are they BPA free? I would imagine if the bottles are reused they would take quite a beating from the washing/heating process.

They do not use glass. They use the nurser bottles with prefilled formula.

When I had DS they gave me a bunch of 2 ounce Similacs.

LIJ gave me plastic Similac premade travel sized formula 2 years ago. Not sure what they are using now.

When I had ds in 2006 they had plastic similac bottles.. oh it was at huntington!

DS was given Similac Advance Ready to Feed in 2 oz bottles while waiting for my milk to come in...

Ditto @ Mercy in Rockville Centre (almost 2 yrs ago) my friend just had a baby at LIJ Manhassett and they used the same thing.

If they are using the 2oz RTF nursettes, then, no they are not reused as they are a one-time only use.

The nipples and the nursers are one time use only. And even if you pump in the hospital, the nursers are one time use.

Yup. As of 6 weeks ago - that's what they use. The plastic nurser bottles that are prefilled with 2 ounces of formula. You just add the nipple and feed.
