Water Sono and Endometrial Biopsy??
O.k. so Dr. Brenner decided that I should have these tests done (I guess I was kind of hoping that since I am dealing with secondary infertility I might not need them...)
Anyway - please help!! Painful? How should I prep? How long does the discomfort last post-procedure? Do they do both at the same time? I've googled them, so I kind of have an idea of the tests themselves, but I'd love some "real" info!!

The water sono is easy, no pain really. Like the HSG but not as uncomfortable. I can't speak about the biopsy. But, good luck.

Endometrial biopsy is like a bad pap smear--- I'm not going to lie- mine was painful- but w/in 5 mins it was over... (if not 2-3 minutes). Take motrin 30 mins or so before you get it done (if not an hour)

O.k. well if the sono is better than the HSG, then I'm in luck because the HSG absolutely killed me, although that was probably because of my damaged tubes which are now gone! So, you can take something prior to the biopsy??

Definitely. They told me to take tylenol (I took motrin- its the only thing that helps me) before I went in (I took it between an hour and 30 mins) and it helped ease the soreness afterwards... it really is like a bad biopsy, but lasts longer (mine wasn't more than a few mins).

I had both the HSG and Water sono and I experienced soooo much pain with both. As for the endometiral Biopsy, it didn't hurt too bad.

Re: Water Sono and Endometrial Biopsy??
I had both and neither hurt except for a small pinch when they grab a piece of your lining for the EB. The water sono did not hurt at all-but you do leak after.(water)
