OK so DS has a lot of ride-on toys. He sits on them and plays with the buttons. Or after he's done playing with the buttons he gets off and then just pushes around the house but he doesn't really sit and ride it. If he does move around on it he goes backwards and never forwards. Does anyone's DC also do this? Is this normal?
Is there anything that I should have been doing to help? I would feel so terrible if there was something that I should be doing to help but haven't.

we used to try to get DD to ride her rocking horse but she liked it for a minute and then she would want off. Within the last week or so, she has really started liking it. How old is DC?
I think many of the ride ons suggest 9 months and up but I think 18 months is probably when they really enjoy them.

Well DS will be 22 months tomorrow...
He'll sit on them sometimes but won't move. He just plays with the buttons. I've tried encouraging him to move but he ends up going backwards...
