Can I ask for some feel better wishes for DS...
He's got a cold. It's official. I brought him into the doctor this morning and he said he's got a cold. He also had a slight fever. He didn't prescribe anything for the cough and said to just leave it alone. The only thing I can give him for the fever is tylenol. Poor thing was couging all night long. This morning he ate virtually nothing. He just drank 4 oz of milk and had maybe 3 spoonfuls of his breakfast. When we got back from the doctor we went next door to my mom's for 20 minutes and he nibbled on some bread but that's it. I just feel so bad. He looks weak. There will sometimes be a spark of playfulness but then once the cough attack begins he's back to be being cranky and moody.

So many people are sick with colds lately. Tonight we were supposed to go out to dinner for MIL's 65th birthday. She was so looking forward to it, especially since she hasn't seen DS in a while. DS and I probably will stay home and DH will go to dinner with his sister and her husband. MIL was planning on coming back with DH to stay over until tomorrow. So she'll get to see him but he just won't be his usual self. But maybe having MIL here will distract DS.

I am crossing my fingers and knocking on wood. He's been sleeping for 2 hours and I haven't heard a lot of coughing attacks. Maybe 2 or 3 and thank god he's gone back to sleep. Of course when he wakes it will all start up again because it will be time for him to eat. But at least he was able to get some rest today...

I know, I hate it. One minute he seems fine and in a good mood and then as soon as he starts coughing again he's back to acting miserable...I wish I could take his could away...

Propping his head up while he sleeps helps and do you have a humidifier and vick vapor rub?
