can i do this--time warner cable/dvr q
my mom is living in the dark ages and still has a vcr..she tapes tons of shows to the point that now she has a vcr in both rooms LOL!!!
I told her get dvr will ya!!!! she thinks it will be "too complicated" mind u she is 50 yrs old, very hip, loves the computer yet is scared of the dvr??
anyway her bday is coming up and i literally want to go to her house, steal her cable box..go to the time warner store and switch it for the dvr box...
i plan on paying for it each month --ill just give her a check...but if i go to time warner do i need to show proof i m her?
will they ask for id, or an account number?
i obviously know her address, name the whole nine yards..
i want it to be a surprise so im not sure how to do it...

ive been to the time warner store for a broken box and they didnt need any id i would try it

ok question 2...can i prepay for just the dvr for a year? lol
i will do anything to get her to throw out her dam vcrs!!! LOL
