How many people did you have at your 30th bday
If i'm having it at a hall--I don't want to invite the world.. but our families alone = 100+ people

I had one but it was mostly for my friends...only a few family members were there.
Why dont you just have friends and no family?

I had just given birth to my DS two weeks earlier. We had my parents, my two brothers, my grandma, inlaws, brother in law, DH and myself. We had chinese food at a local resturant. DS stayed with the baby nurse. We came home and had cake. It was one of my best birthdays ever.

I didn't have a big party, just went out with a few friends -- less than 12 people, I think.
DH didn't have a big party either -- we were going to go out, but he had the flu  so we just went to his parents (his mom insisted on seeing him even though he was sick)

I didn't have a huge party at all. My closest friends and I went out to Lily Flanagan's and then breakfast at a diner. It was great - there were about 10 of us.
For DH's bday I had a party in my apartment with his immediate family, my immediate family and some friends.. maybe 25 people?

We had mine at our house and it was around 90 people. My birthday is at the end of May thank goodness so DH ordered tables and chairs and set up tables in the back yard and used our deck for the musician, and drinks were inside. It worked out very nicely, especially since he sent me to the spa while him and our friends set everything up. It was such a wonderful day, I wouldn't have changed a thing!

My Dh rented a house and we had a weekend away with friends in the Poconos. Throughout the weekend we probably had about 20 friends or so and not much family - he invited our siblings but only his sister came neither of my brothers.
For DH's, I rented a penthouse in the city and we only really invited friends, brothers and sisters and our parents. I would say we limited it to about 50 people or so...gosh I don't remember.

DH (then my bf) and I went to Secrets Excellence in DR for a week. We did enough partying for 100 people

I didn't have a large party for my 30th. It was 7 months before our wedding and I decided I would rather have a small birthday with my friends. As a result, my husband took me to London as my 30th birthday gift. That was SOOOO much better than a big party.

We had a backyard BBQ for mine...maybe 25 people..some more people I invited couldn't make it bc my b-day falls right in the middle of summer and of course it's prime vacation time!

I did not have a 30th birthday party but DH is planning my 32nd birthday party for December and I know it will be huge. All our friends and families will be there.
