cleaning crystal wine glasses
anyone have any tips or suggestions?
we have plain waterford wine goblets that we use fairly often. whenever i wash them by hand they end up with spots and never seem to look clean...

Are you hand drying them or letting them air dry?
Hand drying cuts down on the spots tremendosly, as does thoroughly rinsing them in warm water.

yeah, i usually let them air dry, i guess thats part of the problem, but they seem to still have fingerprints on them. i know i'm not supposed to use soap on them. but i don't know what else to do.

I highly recommend Flour Sacks which can be found at Williams-Sonoma and sometimes places like HomeGoods/Marshalls. They're super absorbent and are lint free!
Otherwise, mine go into the dishwasher on the crystal/china cycle. I use JetDry and that seems to make a difference when it comes to spotting, whether it be crystal/glassware or plastics.

Why can't you use soap on your crystal?

Interesting! I never thought to do that... I guess it makes sense. I guess I've been too paranoid to try.
