Tightness in stomach....UPDATE
I have been getting this tightness in my stomach, mostly on the top of my stomach (under my ribs going down) and its painful, I can't even stand for long. What can that be?? Not sure if I should call my Dr....
Well I called my Dr and he told me to come in, he said it was just Braxton Hicks contractions and not to worry, everything else looked fine! I feel so much better now.

I get that also.I was in the hospital over the weekend(not related) and was hooked with the moniters and the nurse they were Braxton hicks I get them all the time..but dont listen to me whatdo i know this is my first call your Dr if not sure.. but it sounds like Braxton Hicks

Mine last for a while also..It just feels realy tight if you put your hand there you can feel the tightness. then its goes back to soft!.I know if lie down they will go away...make sure your drinking your water!!

Melissa I am having the same issue and it hurts and it doesn't stop but mine I think is caused because this little bugger is a franks breech on an angle and I have the head and the feet up by my ribs.

WOW good to know that ! Because I went to the Dr ..one week and he was head down ready to go...then he decides to flip and now he is breech...Dr did not feel his head last visit!

Sounds like the contractions I had 2 weeks ago. I felt the same thing and called my midwife, who told me to go to L&D right away. When I got hooked up to the monitor I was having contractions 3-4 mins apart! Call your dr!

Well my baby was breech, but I had my sono yesterday and now the baby is head down, so the butt and feet are by my ribs, I'm trying to drink a lot, but I'm worried cause the sono tech said my fluid was low.....

Funny - I started getting this feeling too... but it doesn't "hurt", it's just tightening. I thought it was the baby trying to get comfortable, but maybe it's braxton hicks? I was getting some serious pressure "down there" today too... but that may have just been a need for a BM

I've been getting that too for the last week or so (I'm almost 30 weeks). I just went to the doctor yesterday, and he said as long as it doesn't hurt, it's Braxton Hicks.
