is this just a quirk or a sign of something wrong?
For the past week, DD hasn't wanted me to wash her hair. She very forcefully pushes my hands away when I try to wash it. She has always loved her bath so I am wondering if something is bothering her or if this is just her testing me...
And she has been playing with her ear but not really tugging, more like when a dog scratches its ear.
I am debating whether or not to call the ped but I don't want to be one of those overreacting moms...

I haven't experienced this myself, but from what I have heard form others, this could be a tell-tale sign on an ear infection
Better safe than sorry, see if the ped will see her

i was told if the baby is tugging or flicking the ear that it could be a sign of an ear infection. Why not just call the peds if its been going on for a bit, doesnt hurt to make sure.

ETS: It could also be wax, in which case the doctor will tell you and maybe even scoop it out for her.

I would take her in. Hopefully its nothing and just a stage, but if it is something you will be so happy you went.
