chocolate fountain help :-)
i'm a BM in a wedding in may, and the shower is next weekend. its just a small shower at her parents house- about 20 people. my friend has a chocolate fountain that i'm gonna borrow. only thing is, i have NO CLUE how many "dippers" to buy! i bought some already... so tell me if this sounds good for about 20 women. 2 bags of marshmallows 1 pack of about 40 vanilla creme filled cookies 1 box of grahm crackers a 1-pound bag of pretzel sticks i also plan to buy closer to: 3-4 containers of strawberries maybe 2 bunches of bananas. any idea if this is enough stuff? anything else i should add?? also- what do you recommend using to dip? are toothpicks long enough?

I think toothpicks are too small but possible if you have no choice. I use skewers with my chocolate fountain. I think your choices for dipping are great. I like to dip brownies too but that is because I am crazy chocolate girl. Make sure you follow the directions on the box, you will need to use oil with the chocolate so it doesn't clog the fountain. It is tons of fun! Enjoy!

Re: chocolate fountain help :-)
Toothpicks are kinda short, leaves too much room for someone to stick their fingers in the chocolate.
I would add more fruit options, otherwise it sounds yummy.

I bake them in the mini muffin pans so they are individual and small and dip away. Wow....sounds soooo good right now.

I had dried apricots at a Choc. fountain once and they were great. They are firm and easy to dip!

Although I love pineapple in the chocolate, I think the instructions say not to use them because they firm up the chocolate. Actually a few fruits do. Maybe do a search for it?

It sounds like you have enough. Two of each item per person should be plenty.
Also, ITA about the toothpicks being too short. Buy long lollipop sticks from Michaels, they'll work great.

I use wooden skewers to dip. Also, pound cake is really good to dip.
